Two important issues – the Big Society and Climate Change – will be addressed in the forthcoming conferences this autumn:
“Achieving added value through community engagement” to be held in Chester on 23 September will explore the value of empowering communities and how to make this work in practice, with examples of good practice.
The conference will offer information and guidance from people with experience and expertise to help you to deliver added value to your projects and corporate objectives. View the programme and booking form
“Climate change: mitigation and adaption in historic towns” – the Annual Conference in Oxford 20-22 October will present a wide range of important information for those managing everything from single buildings to whole cities and the growing pressures to save energy and adapt for the future.
Two factors have influenced the organisation of this event: the need for us all to operate in a sustainable way, so we are endeavouring to make this a low carbon event and ask for your support in this and secondly – we are aware of the budget constraints being felt by everyone therefore the programme has been arranged in a way that you may get the most out of it according to your own resources. Corporate tables are available so make a networking event of it and invite colleagues to join you! If you would like to book a table of 6 @£125 or a table of 10 @ £200 send us an email
The Annual General Meeting will take place in Oxford on 20 October; further details will be circulated soon. However if you would like to put yourself or a colleague forward for election to the Executive Committee please contact me asap.
